Humble South Dakota Roots

Bryon grew up on a farm in Hamlin County, South Dakota, where he says he learned “the values of hard work and self-reliance.” He earned a degree in business and finance from Northern State University and stayed close to his rural roots by coaching basketball and working on the family farm.

From Agent to Business Owner

After college Bryon worked as an insurance agent at Bryant State Bank. He later bought the bank’s insurance arm and founded Noem Insurance, a crop insurance agency, and has been involved in other small business ventures in the state.
