Senior exits deepen scrutiny

RadarOnline reports that multiple senior staffers departed Salus in a short span. William Todd, the firm's chief strategy officer who reportedly earned nearly $500,000 a year, said he retired to be with family. Kyle Cullen told colleagues he was relocating to Wisconsin, and in-house legal adviser Tom Wilson also left. Earlier departures were noted too.

Contract chaos and Capitol pushback

Salus won a three-year Department of Homeland Security contract to run Project Homecoming, a program offering funds and flights to undocumented immigrants who leave the U.S. Now the company could face re-competition for roughly $915 million of the contract. Democrat Bennie Thompson urged Rep. Markwayne Mullin to halt what he labeled wasteful spending and cancel the agreement.
