King Charles and Queen Camilla surprised fans with a low-key brewery visit the day after England's World Cup semi loss — and the monarch even laughed about the evening. Read on to discover the full story!

Royal relief with a pint

The royal couple visited the family-owned Hall and Woodhouse Badger Brewery bar in Dorset to help mark the company’s 250th anniversary. The 77-year-old king tried pulling pints of the Fursty Ferret amber ale and the Tanglefoot golden ale, and when he sampled a beer he quipped that it was “a good day to drown a few sorrows.” The royal Instagram post echoed the line and included a soccer ball emoji.

Heartbreak on the pitch

England had led after Anthony Gordon’s early goal, but Argentina scored twice in the closing moments and extra time to reach the final against Spain on July 19. The dramatic turnaround ended England’s run and left fans disappointed across the nation.
